ADIRONDACK MOUNTAINS, NEW YORK

The Adirondack Mountains region encompasses a large area of northern New York State including the 6 million acre Adirondack State Park. The park was created in 1892 and is the largest state park in the US outside of Alaska. The region has over 3000 lakes and ponds, 2000 miles of hiking trails, thousands of miles of rivers and streams, hundreds of miles of canoe routes and 42 mountains over 4000 feet making it ideal for outdoor enthusiasts and photographers.
